The Substitute, a Phear Creative original concept, is the world's first ever reality-style game show to take place in a high school classroom. The show challenged students to compete against each other in rounds of trivia for a chance to win $5,000.00.

The show aired on MTV for two seasons and was rated the most popular MTV show amongst the teen demographic during the time it ran. Recently 40 more episodes were commissioned to run internationally in 2015.
